exploration. The mechanism of injury, the clinical findings, local anaesthetic blocks, contrast arthrography, plain radiography and cine-radiography are the main diagnostic methods available. All or several may provide the necessary assistance. In 1962 Golding described an observation made on plain radiography that we believe is not only valid but can often help in the search for the causative lesion. It is the purpose of this report to reiterate the importance of this observation and to offer our interpretation of the pathomechanics of its origin.

Since its introduction by Mihata in 2012, superiorcapsule reconstruction (SCR) has grown in popularity at an astonishingly rapid rate. The aim of this article is to providea comprehensive review of the available literature, in order to highlight what has so far been published on SCR,covering all aspects including biomechanica...
متن کاملTranslation of the humeral head scale is associated with success of rotator cuff repair for large-massive tears
BACKGROUND Although a loss of rotator cuff integrity leads to the superior migration of the humeral head, the parameters that characterize the anterolateral migration of the humeral head have not been established. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the translation of the humeral head scale (T-scale) and clinical outcomes of rotator cuff repair, as well as the c...
متن کاملOutcome of latissimus dorsi transfer for irreparable rotator cuff tears.
The aim of this retrospective study was to assess the mid- and long-term functional and radiological results following latissimus dorsi transfer for symptomatic irreparable tears of the supra- and infraspinatus tendons (postero-superior cuff tears). Twenty-six shoulders with an irreparable posterosuperior rotator cuff tear were assessed preoperatively and after latissimus dorsi transfer, using ...
